Field Guide
Field Guide is a photographic publication that documents the inner-city suburb of Abbotsford, in Melbourne. This project challenged us to immerse ourselves in a specific area, considering how to represent the sights, sense and overall feel of a place, beyond just in words.
The publication uses collaged image to represent the neighbourhood, which is a varied landscape full of colour and character. The raw approach to collaging the images creates curious and surreal depictions which reflect the charisma and interest of the area.
